Farmers Bros. Groundbreaking Announced

August 04 < 1

Farmer Bros. Co. has announced an Aug. 11 groundbreaking for its future headquarters in Northlake.

The coffee company, which earlier this year announced plans to vacate its Torrance, Calif. headquarters and move to Texas, has big plans for what it calls a state-of-the-art facility.

Planned to occupy land near Interstate 35W and Texas Motor Speedway, the headquarters promises a LEED-certified facility with water conservation equipment, energy-saving climate-control systems and a 1,000-square-foot teaching lab designed to host training classes for industry associations such as the Specialty Coffee Association of America.

Developing the facility is Dallas-based Stream Realty Partners. Farmers Bros. began hiring in late June, with employees sought in finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, purchasing and marketing.

About 350 staff members are expected to work at the facility.

Assisting the company recruiting and hiring is Futurestep, a Korn Ferry company specializing in talent acquisition solutions. More information about Farmers Bros. hiring is available at http://www.farmerbros.com/our-story/careers/
