The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for the full-cycle accounting and reporting requirements of assigned Stream entities, and the position will assist the VP of Corporate Accounting with various tasks throughout the month. The goal of the accounting team is to maintain and deliver accurate and transparent financial information to the managing partners.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Full-cycle accounting experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to exhibit high level of confidentiality and high attention to detail
  • Yardi accounting software and commercial real estate experience is a plus
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • A positive, proactive attitude
  • Desire to work in a cooperative, productive teamwork environment and willingness to share information with co-workers as appropriate


The essential functions of this role include delivering timely and accurate reports to Stream Vice Presidents and Partners.


  • Responsible for the month end close process for assigned entities, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review documents to setup bonus calculation templates and calculate bonuses accurately.
  • Review commission billing and receipt information to calculate payroll accruals.
  • Track investment entities and review documents to accurately record equity pickups.
  • Review invoices, post payment batches and print checks weekly or more often, if required.
  • Prepare and post customer billings, and review and approve cash receipts.
  • Responsible for cash management, and for ensuring that all regulatory filings are completed in a timely manner (ex. tax payments, annual reports, etc.).
  • Research accounting issues, identify possible solutions, and summarize conclusions to present to Management.
  • Special reporting and analytical or Ad Hoc projects as needed or requested.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
