A top building agent in the Dallas office of Cushman & Wakefield has moved to a competing firm just days after the company was sold.

J.J. Leonard will be the new managing director of Dallas-based Stream Realty Partners’ office division.

He was previously a senior director of leasing at Cushman & Wakefield.

Last week Cushman & Wakefield merged its operations with DTZ, another commercial property firm which is owned in large part by Fort Worth-based TPG Group.

He leased major Dallas properties including The Colonnade, Preston Commons, Sterling Plaza and 3500 Maple.

Stream Realty is an almost 20-year-old Dallas-based firm with offices in Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Denver, Ft. Worth, Houston, Southern California, San Antonio and Washington, D.C.
