Our Fort Worth Office Assistant Property Manager provides first-class property management service and assists the Property Manager in overseeing a large downtown property. Day to day responsibilities include assisting with building operations, enhancing tenant relations, and communicating with vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 Years of experience in Commercial Property Management industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge and skills, including A/R and A/P
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ambition and desire to learn and grow a career in the property management industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Previous experience using real estate software, including Yardi and Avid, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide daily assistance and support to the Property Manager in management of the building complex.
  • Manage tenant and vendor relations.
  • Schedule vendor appointments.
  • Assist with accounting, reporting and budgeting tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Property Manager to resolve building management issues.
  • Assist the Property Manager in supervising on-site staff.
  • Answer telephone as required and assist callers.
  • Work closely with and supervise vendors to ensure compliance with service contracts.
  • Recommend and/or authorize vendor contracts as appropriate.
  • Collect and file vendor Certificates of Insurance.
  • Follow established A/R guidelines including contacting tenants regarding follow-up on rent payment status, late fees and additional charges.
  • Keep track of property expenses and invoices paid for monthly accrual purposes.
  • Review A/P batches for proper invoice coding.
  • Assist the Property Manager in the preparation of the monthly reporting package and financial reports.
  • Assist the Property Manager with the preparation, assembly, review and implementation of the annual operating and capital budgets, as well as the annual operating expense reconciliations.
  • Ensure adherence to owners’ policies and procedures, as well as compliance with codes, regulations and governmental agency directives.
  • Keep Property Manager and building operations team updated on building, tenant or vendor issues.
  • Assist Property Manager with special projects as requested.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
