Network Architect

Locations: Dallas
Departments: Data Centers, Information Technology

The Network Architect will be responsible for reviewing existing configurations and will assist in creating a roadmap to achieve the company’s Technology goals. This role will assist with the design of the network, VM infrastructure, as well as, supporting systems for Data Centers owned and managed by Stream.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years technical experience
  • Knowledge of T1, PRI, SIP, AVP
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies – Aruba\Cisco\Meraki
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting VMware
  • Experience building highly available Fiber interconnectivity for multi-path switch networking
  • Experience with systems configuration and deployment
  • Experience with systems design and specifications
  • Training in Windows operating systems and TCP/IP communications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to travel to Stream offices as needed; Light to moderate travel
  • AD administration with O365\Azure experience
  • Exposure to the following:
    • Cisco Switches, Routers and Firewalls
    • TCP/IP communications and troubleshooting
    • Remote Access VPN
    • Routing Protocols: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF (Preferred)
    • Network Sniffer
  • CCNA or CCNP designations preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software products including Cisco routers, Aruba\Meraki switches, and mixed vendor firewalls.
  • Intrusion Detection and Threat Vulnerability management.
  • Implement and maintain VoIP.
  • Coordinate hardware and software updates from vendors.
  • Assist Systems Administrators and Infrastructure Team, as needed.
  • Monitor the network and fine tune network performance.
  • Assist with network problem management and resolution.
  • Develop and maintain excellent systems documentation.

TRAVEL

Light to moderate travel.
