Walter serves as an Associate in Stream’s Atlanta office with a focus on sourcing and executing lease transactions on behalf of landlords and tenants. Walter also identifies investment opportunities for the firm and its clients. Walter creates long-term relationships based on trust and respect. As a native Atlantan with a diverse professional background, Walter has an extensive knowledge of both the Atlanta urban and suburban commercial markets. As a leasing expert, he exclusively represents tenants and landlords of commercial properties applying his wealth of knowledge and financial competence. His ability to identify market trends and future opportunities along with his strong work ethic have equipped him with the foundation to provide first-rate services.
Walter currently serves as the Zoning and Land Use Committee Chairperson for one of the City of Atlanta’s Neighborhood Planning Units. Neighborhood Planning Units (NPUs) are citizen advisory councils that make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council regarding zoning, land use, and other planning issues. Within this volunteer advisory role, Walter’s responsibility is to review and recommend applications for rezoning and development projects including development along the Beltline corridor, mixed-use, transit-oriented and workforce housing developments.
Prior to joining Steam, Walter was with Marcus & Millichap, specializing in the Private Capital, Multi-Family, Value-Add space in the $1 million to $10 million range supporting private investors. Prior to that, Walter spent over 10 years in the wealth management FinTech space after having served in the United States Army.
