A Colorado Springs father and son have joined forces to establish a new industrial market for Stream Realty Partners.
After working in complementary industries for years, son Drew Dowis and father Andrew Dowis recently started at Stream as Vice Presidents of Industrial Leasing. The two will work in Colorado Springs—under the leadership of Stream Denver Managing Director Tyler Reed—to grow the firm’s industrial footprint in the Rocky Mountain region. They will be responsible for representing investors, owners, and tenants in leasing, site selection, acquisitions, dispositions, and development services.
“I could not be more excited about having Drew and Andrew be a part of Stream and contributing to the significant growth of our business in the Colorado market,” Reed said. “Their relationships, market knowledge, dedication, and collaborative spirit define our culture. Entering the Colorado Springs market with Drew and Andrew set Stream on a course to be the dominant player in that market for the foreseeable future.”
Both said Stream’s reputation, strategic vision, entrepreneurial spirit, and values align with their professional and personal beliefs, making the decision easy to join the national real estate services, development, and investment company.
“Stream’s unique approach to the ever-evolving commercial real estate landscape is cutting-edge and what distinguishes them from the competitors,” Drew Dowis said. “The emphasis they place on their people being the foundation is what separates a mediocre brokerage from a superb one. The core principles upon which Stream was built are what enticed me the most.”
Drew Dowis
Drew Dowis comes to Stream from NAI Highland, LLC, where he focused on the acquisition and disposition of industrial and office assets with an emphasis on value-add propositions and speculative group-up development. He has worked with clients including Bespoke Holdings, Legacy Capital Partners, and RM Windowtint.
He said one of his proudest professional accomplishments was closing on a diverse group of off-market assets including 702 Clark Place, 3410 Carefree Circle, and 5010 Centennial Blvd. while exceeding his clients’ expectations.
After graduating from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and real estate, Drew Dowis worked for energy and construction companies before entering the commercial real estate business.
In his free time, Drew Dowis enjoys working out, golfing, snowboarding, and traveling.
Andrew Dowis
Andrew Dowis started as a commercial real estate broker in Denver about a year and a half after graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in finance. He then started his own business as a financial adviser 30 years ago while maintaining his Colorado real estate license.
Andrew Dowis is credited with selling what was once the largest multi-family property in Denver at 959 units, qualifying him as the No. 2 commercial real estate broker in Denver.
The partnership with his son will be the first time the family members have worked together. The father-son team is currently the only one at Stream, which has more than 1,100 employees across the United States.
“I am excited to learn again–with and from my son–in the commercial real estate industry,” Andrew Dowis said. “Our combined talent will be a successful partnership with Stream. I have years of experience building trusting relationships, and Drew has the tenacity, knowledge, and foresight that are a perfect fit for success. Our father-son team will bring a variety of skills to the marketplace and have a successful long-term impact on the power of Stream.”
In his free time, Andrew Dowis enjoys photography, traveling, and getting exercise on the array of trails in Colorado’s mountains.
