Professional Experience
Alan Winfrey assists property managers and building engineers throughout Stream’s Georgia portfolio with training, technical assistance, facilities management, code compliance, environmental and hazardous waste administration, preventive maintenance system development, budgeting, and major project bidding and review. He also leads operational due diligence efforts during acquisitions and transitions on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and structure. Alan serves as the lead for Stream’s Energy Sustainability platform conducting Energy Audits and focusing on controlling consumption as efficiently as possible. He remains active with current building automation trends and is a Certified Niagara AX systems integrator.
Alan has more than 42 years of operational experience working on all types of assets, including Bank of America Plaza, a 1.3 million square foot mid-town high rise. He was previously with Cousins for 13 years, where he provided engineering management services for a 2 million-square-foot portfolio. He also worked as an Applications Engineer for a building automation controls company with both new construction and retrofit projects. Additionally, he spent numerous years with Carter & Associates and Taylor & Mathis. Alan has extensive experience with building automation systems, LEED, Energy Star, and all aspects of building operations.
