Stream Realty Partners has recruited four commercial real estate veterans from a prominent global company to build a best-in-class office leasing team in the Carolinas.
Charley Leavitt and Barry Fabyan join Stream, a national commercial real estate firm offering an integrated platform of services, as Co-Managing Directors. They will work alongside Executive Managing Director and Partner Daniel Farrar to serve clients’ interests, grow the firm’s brand presence, cultivate talent to meet the market’s needs, and expand occupier services in Stream’s core Charlotte office that services North and South Carolina.
Executive Vice President Grant Keyes and Senior Associate Holden Brayboy join Leavitt and Fabyan. They will be responsible for sourcing, winning, and executing office business across all service lines, concentrating on landlord representation. The team members from JLL will leverage their creative strategies and collaborative approaches to complement Stream’s nimble end-to-end platform designed to create opportunity and value for clients.
“We are thrilled to have Charley, Barry, Grant, and Holden join our team,” Farrar said. “Their portfolio, work ethic, and reputations are second to none, and they are a substantial building block to our continued growth in the Carolinas.”
Stream opened its Carolinas office in 2013. It provides leasing, property management, development, investment management, construction, and strategic marketing services across an office and industrial portfolio of assignments totaling more than 4.275 million square feet.
Charley Leavitt
Leavitt served as a Senior Managing Director at JLL for more than 13.5 years before moving to Stream. After graduating from Belk College of Business at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he joined Bissell Companies’ office leasing team and served in several roles during his 10-year tenure.
Leavitt is credited with developing more than 5 million square feet of ground-up projects–including some in areas not historically known for office use–and working on numerous adaptive reuse ventures across the Charlotte region. MetLife, Third and Urban, BECO, Nuveen, Deutsche Bank, Asana Partners, Crescent, Insite Properties, JP Morgan, White Point Partners, Angelo Gordon, and Cousins are just a few clients he has worked with over his career. Leavitt holds real estate licenses in North and South Carolina and is a member of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors (CRCBR).
“Stream has an outstanding service platform with an entrepreneurial spirit focused on client success, and that drew me to the firm,” Leavitt said.
Barry Fabyan
Leavitt recruited Fabyan to JLL in 2015 after working with him at The Bissell Companies. Fabyan has been a part of more than $2 billion of lease transactions and was Senior Managing Director prior to joining Stream. During his 18 years at Bissell, he held a number of roles, including Head of Office Leasing. Prior to his commercial real estate career, Fabyan was a professional golfer. A three-time All-American, he graduated from Wake Forest University with a double major in economics and history.
“We are slowly emerging out of a very difficult period in office leasing, and Stream offers an opportunity to hit ‘refresh’ and serve landlords from a new, exciting environment,” Fabyan said.
Grant Keyes
Keyes comes to Stream after two years as a Senior Vice President at JLL. He began his commercial real estate career as an Associate at Cushman & Wakefield in Charlotte, where he ascended to a Director role during his more than eight-year tenure.
Keyes’ career has been dedicated to strategically advising institutional, regional, and local investors to maximize the value of their office and medical office assets. He graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he held various leadership roles in student organizations. Keyes holds real estate licenses in North and South Carolina and is a board member of the CRCBR.
Holden Brayboy
Brayboy graduated from Wake Forest University and moved to Washington, D.C., to work as a Senior Research Associate for CoStar Group for more than 3.5 years. He then joined CBRE’s Mid-Atlantic team as a Senior Analyst before relocating to Charlotte to become a Research Manager for the Carolinas. Brayboy transitioned to JLL as a Senior Brokerage Associate, where he spent the last two years. He holds real estate licenses in North and South Carolina and is a board member of the CRCBR.
