Professional Experience
Monica Selby is the Director of Property Management for Stream Atlanta. She has more than 20 years of real estate industry experience in property management, construction management, contract administration, budgeting, and team leadership. Her portfolios have included Class A high-rise office buildings, suburban office parks, mixed-use developments, and retail, industrial, and medical office buildings.
Prior to joining Stream, Monica was a Property Manager with Daniel Realty and CBRE, overseeing management for multiple buildings in their portfolio. Her primary focus at Daniel, CBRE, and when she first started at Stream, was to bring value for dispositions to properties in need of refurbishment. This was achieved by completing necessary renovations to common areas, restroom renovations, systems enhancement, and tenant engagement programs with a strong focus on tenant retention.
At a focused property for MetLife, occupancy increased from 84% to 99.9% with a 100% renewal rate. At a focused property for NY Life, a disposition was achieved with a 98% retention rate after bringing a property out of foreclosure, where during initial tenant interviews, all were planning on vacating at lease expiration. This assisted in NY Life being able to sell the property for a profit two years prior to the original disposition planned. In addition to the above, Monica has been strategically involved in the development and redevelopment of mixed-use projects throughout Atlanta, including Lee + White, Apple Valley, Ellsworth, and Puritan Mill.
Monica’s primary focus is on Client Relations, Asset Stewardship, and Employee and Team Development. She has a passion for empowering teams and assisting in making assets profitable and strategically situated to achieve ownership goals.
