Stream Realty Partners is pleased to announce Barnes & Thornburg will be relocating its Washington, D.C., office, currently at 1717 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, to District Center at 555 12th St. NW.
Stream represented the ownership, a joint venture between MetLife Investment Management and Norges Bank Investment Management, in the long-term lease with Barnes & Thornburg. The national full-service law firm’s lease of 35,037 square feet of prime space on the 12th floor of the building represents growth of nearly 25%, bringing a wave of optimism and material growth to the downtown commercial market.
The building’s ownership has made a material investment in the property to create a unique and welcoming environment for tenants to welcome back their employees to the office. The amenity-rich environment, strength of ownership, central location, and flexible space were all factors in Barnes & Thornburg’s decision to lease space in District Center.
Stream’s Matt Pacinelli, Andy Eichberg, John Klinke, and Josh Kreider brokered the transaction alongside Jon Glass and Gary Stein of Savills, who represented the tenant.
