New VP At Stream Houston Tasked With Expanding Firm’s Presence In Evolving Office Market

Stream Realty Partners has hired a NAIOP Rising Star to serve as a Vice President in its Houston office.

Tripp Pruet will continue to specialize in occupier services representation at the national real estate services, development, and investment company. He will work with Weldon Martin, Managing Director of Stream Houston, to expand the firm’s presence in the Houston office market and will be responsible for sourcing, winning, and executing business across all service lines, including acquisition and development opportunities. He comes to the firm from Savills North America.

“Stream’s entrepreneurial spirit was ultimately the deciding factor on why I chose to join the company,” Pruet said. “Every professional at Stream wants to be a part of making the company grow. Getting to work with a group that is all pulling in the same direction, regardless of location, is significant. I’m excited about having the opportunity to learn about multiple disciplines that give a much broader understanding of the overall market and ultimately provide the context for what is truly possible for tenants in the office leasing market.”

While at Savills, Pruet served as an accomplished negotiator and worked with a client that had unique requirements to broker a 56,000-square-foot transaction in one of Houston’s trophy assets that had a limited amount of space and multiple tenants contending for it. He also completed a lease restructure with a significant amount of remaining term for a major law firm in downtown Houston that allowed his client to recognize significant savings while continuing to recruit and retain attorneys for the future.

“Given Houston’s office market over these past few years, it would be difficult to be in this industry and not be passionate about what you are doing,” Pruet said. “The gratification that comes from completing a transaction for a client is special. Getting to be a small part of their success or growth is something that never gets old regardless of the size of the deal. It’s something that I take a great amount of pride in.”

Pruet was awarded the 2020 NAIOP Rising Star Award for being a top producing tenant representative with 5 years of experience or less in the commercial real estate industry. The commercial real estate development association is a powerful North American network in the CRE and investment industries that provides advocacy, education, and business opportunities by connecting its members. He previously worked at Colvill Office Properties and VR30A Management, LLC and is a 2011 graduate of the University of Mississippi.

“Tripp has built a great book of business and strong reputation as a good person whom people want to help and work with,” Martin said. “That’s the main reason why he’s such a perfect fit to help Stream continue our growth. Tripp’s relationships are second to none, which is a major reason for his quick success, most recently completing one of the largest transactions in downtown Houston in 2021.”

When he’s not working, Pruet enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Morgan, and 15-month-old son, Turner. He loves being active outdoors, whether it’s playing basketball, golfing, or running around with his lab, Walter.
