Professional Experience
Alex Roberto serves as Senior Vice President for Stream’s Investment Management (IM) platform, which currently manages five opportunistic comingled discretionary funds and separate account mandates totaling over $2 billion of equity. Alex is responsible for leading the facilitation of the multifamily platform, coordination with capital placement, and strategic private equity acquisitions.
Additionally, Alex is a member of Stream’s Value Preservation Advisors (VPA) group. By leaning on Stream’s dual role as both real estate owners and service providers, the multi-disciplinary VPA team provides solutions to lenders and property owners across all asset classes and products by offering an agile platform to preserve value and mitigate loss for lenders and stakeholders that may require additional resources for handling challenging situations.
Before joining Stream, Alex served as Executive Vice President of Portfolio Management at L&B Realty, where he was responsible for the management of a $5 billion public pension portfolio, including current portfolio management, new developments and acquisitions, and novel strategic initiatives. Prior to his tenure at L&B, Alex served as Vice President at a discretionary value-add retail fund, managing over $400 million in equity investments. Additionally, he served as an asset manager at ORIX Capital Markets, overseeing a $300 million portfolio of assets. Alex began his career at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he served as an Investment Sales Analyst, proficient in underwriting all major property types.
