Professional Experience
As Managing Director and a member of the D.C. region’s executive leadership team, Andy Eichberg is responsible for leading activities in the Washington D.C. market; providing senior leadership across other regional business lines; further establishing the Stream brand throughout the Mid-Atlantic; and executing various principal and service-related undertakings and assignments. Andy has more than 25 years of experience in the Washington, D.C. commercial real estate industry, the majority of which has been dedicated to the leasing, development, acquisition and asset management of institutional-grade office buildings.
Prior to joining Stream in 2020, Andy served as Managing Director for Tishman Speyer where he oversaw the leasing and marketing efforts for Tishman Speyer’s Washington, DC real estate portfolio. In this role, he led leasing efforts for new and redeveloped trophy projects such 2000 K Street, 2050 M Street, 900 19th Street, 1099 New York Avenue, 1775 Pennsylvania Avenue and 1155 F Street, as well as existing assets such as 2550 M Street, 1717 Pennsylvania Avenue, 1919 Pennsylvania Avenue, 1201 F Street and 1110 Vermont Avenue, among others. As a member of the senior leadership team for the region, he was actively involved in the region’s asset management, property management, development and acquisition efforts. Prior to joining Tishman Speyer in 2007, Mr. Eichberg was a Vice President of Leasing at Akridge, a local owner and developer. He also worked for Grubb & Ellis/Smithy Braedon as a landlord and tenant representative for 3rd party clients, as well as an Asset Manager and Portfolio Analyst at the Archon Group, an asset management and investment subsidiary of Goldman Sachs.
Mr. Eichberg is a past President of CREBA, the Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association of Greater Washington DC, and is also the President and founder of the James L. Eichberg Foundation (JLEF), a charitable foundation supporting numerous local charities. He has been actively involved with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of the National Capital Area (LLS), serving on the Executive Committee and as Chair Emeritus of the Leukemia Ball and as a past participant and contributor to LLS’s Team & Training Program and Light the Night Walk. He is a member of the Economic Club of Washington, DC and a past member of the Greater Washington Board of Trade’s Investor Relations and DC Public Affairs Committees. He is a lifelong resident of the Washington, DC area and a graduate of Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, where he was a member of the Student Senate and captained the varsity baseball team.
