Professional Experience
Greg Katz serves as Executive Managing Director and Partner of Stream Florida, and leads the Office Tenant Representation Platform nationally. His practice is built on representing large users of office space with a mission to (i) substantively reduce costs; (ii) improve operational efficiencies; (iii) maximize flexibility; (iv) create leverage through forensic research and use of data and analytics, and (v) mitigate risk.
Greg’s area of expertise and distinction is in the negotiation and structuring of complex real estate transactions for major public companies, professional service firms, and private companies, where cash flow, stock price, shareholder value, equity multiples, accounting implications, and optimal lease performance are critical. He has developed a proven methodology for arbitrage in the capital markets to capture a significant share of building value and financing benefits that his clients deliver to their landlords.
With over 35 years of industry experience, Greg has successfully negotiated more than 50 million square feet of office space valued at more than $40 billion. Since 2000, he has negotiated over 50 transactions exceeding more than 100,000 square feet throughout South Florida and nationwide. Prior to joining Stream, Greg was a Vice Chairman at Newmark, leading the firm’s National Headquarters’ practice, and had 20 years at Savills, where he founded their South Florida office.
