Professional Experience
Jacob Austin serves as an Associate with Stream’s Investment Management platform, which manages five opportunistic commingled discretionary funds and separate account mandates totaling more than $2 billion in equity. Jacob’s responsibilities encompass the entire investment life cycle, including acquisition and development underwriting, financing, asset management, and dispositions.
Prior to joining Stream, Jacob served as a member of the investments team at Madison Capital Group, a Charlotte, North Carolina based private real estate investment firm focused on the multifamily, self-storage, and commercial sectors. During this time, Jacob played a pivotal role in the underwriting and execution of more than $1 billion in opportunistic, value-add, and core investment opportunities across the Southeast. Preceding his role at Madison Capital Group, Jacob served as an Investment Banking Analyst at Jefferies with the Real Estate, Gaming, and Lodging group. In this role, Jacob assisted in the evaluation and execution of strategic alternatives for public and private real estate companies, including mergers and acquisitions and capital markets issuances.
