Luis Lara serves as Vice President of Energy Strategy & Solutions within Stream’s Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, and Distribution platform. Luis is a trusted expert in energy performance and sustainable design and guides clients toward high-efficiency, cost-effective, and future-ready facilities. He combines technical proficiency in energy modeling, decarbonization, and MEP systems with a strategic understanding of financial performance, helping organizations align sustainability goals with measurable business outcomes.
With extensive experience in energy strategy, modeling, and system optimization, Luis brings a data-driven mindset to every project. His expertise spans renewable energy integration, net zero feasibility, energy code compliance, and climate disclosure analysis. By integrating design intent and operational goals, he helps clients make informed, value-based decisions from concept through post-occupancy.
Prior to joining Stream, Luis served as Director of Decarbonization at JLL, where he led global net zero feasibility studies and large-scale energy analyses for clients across multiple sectors. Earlier in his career, he worked with DataBased+, developing advanced mechanical systems design and sustainability frameworks for commercial and industrial buildings.
