Shawn Kimble

Shawn Kimble is an Executive Managing Director with Stream’s Investment Management (IM) platform. He serves on the leadership team that directs capital formation, new product development, and investment strategy; sources strategic opportunities; and helps scale the IM platform through organic and inorganic initiatives. Shawn brings two decades of real estate investment experience spanning capital markets, investing, strategy, and platform leadership. Prior to joining Stream, he held several leadership positions at Barings, a global investment manager, including COO and Head of U.S. and European Capital Markets and Strategy. In that role, he oversaw capital markets, research and strategy, valuations, risk management, engineering, and ESG. He also drove inorganic growth initiatives for the real estate platform and served on the platform’s investment and valuation committees. Earlier at Barings, Shawn held various transactions roles, sourcing and executing equity investments and joint venture developments, and structuring more than $35 billion of asset- and fund-level financings. He began his career in Wells Fargo’s Real Estate Capital Markets group in New York, where he originated, structured, and closed more than $7.5 billion in CMBS and balance sheet financings.
