Wingstop Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: WING) has increased its corporate footprint in Dallas by more than 30 percent after successfully launching its initial public offering earlier this year.
The 21-year-old growing restaurant chain added 12,000 square feet to its lease for a total 37,651 square feet at The Crossings II at 5501 LBJ Freeway in North Dallas.
“There are few other concepts that have an 800-restaurant footprint with the growth rate we’ve been able to deliver over the past few years,” CEO Charlie Morrison told the Dallas Business Journal earlier this year in a Power Players profile.
Todd Noonan of Stream Realty Partners represented Wingstop in its real estate expansion. Barbara Bennett and Art Kline of Thompson Realty represented the landlord, TR LBJ Campus Partners LP.
Wingstop was one of the tenants capitalizing on the opportunities still available along LBJ Freeway and the lower Dallas North Tollway, said Noonan, a vice president at Stream Realty Partners.
The restaurant chain wanted to expand in the LBJ Expressway building because of the facility’s onsite amenities, such as a deli, fitness center and plenty of garage parking.
Wingstop also gets signage on the building along the newly completed LBJ Freeway expansion, which sits one block from the Galleria in North Dallas.
