A Charlotte office building is undergoing a total facelift that’s on track to deliver a 360,000 square-foot chunk of Class A space to the uptown market later this year.
Crews have been at work for several months now on the former AT&T Plaza building, now known as 300 South Brevard. Stream Realty Partners purchased it last year for $45.5 million.
Stream is still seeking a tenant for the 15-story building, which it says should be complete this fall. “300 South Brevard will be a modern office building perfectly suited for today’s creative worker,” the company says on its website, which bills it as an ideal headquarters location.
The building includes six stories of interior parking, and is directly on the LYNX Blue Line light rail. The renovations will include a new lobby, ground-floor retail spaces, new bathrooms on all floors and an overhauled facade and exterior. The building is the largest office renovation underway uptown, and will add to the Class A office space under construction in new buildings, including 300 South Tryon and 615 South College.
