Stream Realty Partners has added a 15-year Southern California commercial real estate veteran to its growing Industrial Development Services team.

Russell E. Fenton joins Stream, a national real estate services, development, and investment company, as Director of Industrial Development Services. He will be based in Irvine, CA, and will help expand the firm’s existing industrial development presence in the Western Region along with Senior Director Scott Sowanick and Director Michael Gregg. He previously worked at Transwestern Development Company, overseeing the west coast region’s development schemes that included multiple Amazon projects.

“Stream has built an unmatched track record of success by doing things differently, and I’m excited to be a part of its growth,” Fenton said. “I’m looking forward to building upon Stream’s relationships in the market while also working with some of the same construction leaders and experts that I have in previous roles.”

Throughout his career, Fenton has facilitated office, tech, and industrial buildouts in the retail, hospitality, and entertainment verticals while working for CapRock Partners, R.D. Olson Development, The Irvine Company, and The Walt Disney Company. He has overseen the ground-up development of 2.5 million square feet of prime industrial space as well as managed multi-discipline teams to complete a variety of projects throughout Disneyland Park.

Aside from his civilian experience, Russell served as an Army Officer for eight years, achieving the rank of Captain in the Corps of Engineers. He served in Afghanistan from 2011 to 2012, leading over 500 engineers on a project to construct and expand nine combat bases in the Ghazni province to support the 82nd Airborne Division. It was the largest troop construction effort of the Afghanistan conflict. Fenton was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his actions. Stream is proud to have more than 50 self-reported military servicemen and women in its ranks throughout the United States.

In 2019, Stream entered the Greater Los Angeles industrial development market, the largest of its kind in the United States. Over the past 2.5 years, the company has strategically grown its industrial development portfolio, which currently represents approximately 1.7 million square feet of projects in production and an additional 3 million square feet of projects in the pipeline.

“In a market with a 2-billion-square-foot industrial base, Russell will be a key player in supporting our continued growth efforts throughout the region,” said Cannon Green, Executive Managing Director and Partner of Stream’s national Industrial Development Services division. “The expansion of our Industrial Development Services platform into Greater Los Angeles has been driven by the core tenets that you’ll find across our business’s regional coverage universe – sound market knowledge, strong local relationships, and an unrivaled ability to execute. We plan to operate in the region for a long time to come, and we will continue to methodically source new opportunities alongside our trusted partners.”
