Stream Realty Partners has recruited a 17.5-year commercial real estate veteran with strong ties in the Chicago area to help lead its office tenant representation team.
Phil Geiger joined Stream, a national real estate services, development, and investment firm, as a Managing Director in the firm’s growing Chicago office. He will be responsible for tenant representation, transaction management, and new client and business pursuits. Geiger will partner with Senior Vice President Brian Duffy to accelerate the platform’s growth. Both will work alongside Executive Managing Director and Partner Patrick Russo, who was recently promoted to partner and continues cultivating the firm’s market coverage and talent in the tenant representation, property management, and brokerage service lines.
Geiger comes to Stream from JLL, where he advanced from working as an Associate to a Managing Director after graduating from Colby College in 2004.
“Stream is set up to make every commercial real estate professional more well-rounded by providing access, exposure, and experience in all aspects of the industry,” Geiger said. “In the current economic environment, the commercial real estate landscape is changing by the day. The needs of clients are evolving, and it will be important to offer Stream’s holistic, full-service platform that is nimble to help them navigate the waters. Stream’s entrepreneurial and family-like atmosphere was very important to my family and me in our decision to come to Stream. This environment ultimately benefits my clients.”
Throughout his career, Geiger has focused on large corporate occupiers, multi-market portfolio companies, tech/trading firms, and non-profit organizations, using technology to help those clients make data-driven real estate decisions that align with business goals and objectives. He has worked with clients including the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Chicago, WeWork, VillageMD, Alter Domus, Freeborn & Peters, and Green Thumb Industries. He is also a limited partner in Service Provider Capital and an angel investor in several Chicago technology companies.
“With the addition of Phil, we have assembled the foundational leadership that we need to build a powerhouse tenant representation platform in Chicago,” Russo said. “Like our other offices across the country, Stream Chicago will be an incredibly active player and force in occupier services. Phil is a perfect fit for our culture, and we are thrilled to have him on the team.”
Stream Chicago has grown to more than 40 professionals in the last three years, with offices in Fulton Market and Rosemont. The team is responsible for leasing and managing nearly 34 million square feet of office and industrial space across the metro area.
