Senior Financial Analyst Jenkins Bender looks up to Senior Vice President Sarah Ozanne. And vice versa–although Sarah teases Jenkins: “I’m a decade older, and I still want to be you when I grow up.” The two Dallas pros talk “industrial,” their corner of the commercial real estate world, in the third episode of “After Hours,” our podcast/video series that captures the perfect balance of candid conversation and deliberate discussion between two of our professionals.
After quick introductions, Sarah shares the unique path she took to get into the “warehouse world”–through Goldman Sachs. She provides advice not on how to break into the CRE world as a broker but on how to stay in the job. Sarah notes how mentors, including National Head of Industrial Development Services Cannon Green, helped her early on as she started at Stream for what she figured might just be a two-year tour. She celebrates her eighth anniversary in August.
The nearly 30-minute chat wraps up with Sarah ribbing Jenkins: “Now do I get to interview you, and you tell me how to be Jenkins Bender?”
