August 30 45 min read

We recognize that the key to our success lies in our people. That’s why, at the beginning of each month, we will take some extra time to celebrate our high-caliber commercial real estate professionals who mark milestone anniversaries while incessantly striving to win for our clients and associates.

The commercial real estate landscape is constantly changing, and these colleagues have seen it all during their tenure here. We asked some of them to share their thoughts on who has had the most significant impact on them, what their proudest accomplishment has been, how Stream has changed over the years, and what they are looking forward to in the next five years.

Here are some of their responses:

April 2024

Jerry Mays, Senior Director, Design and Construction, Dallas, 15 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

Being on the ground floor of the establishment, growth, and success of office building development at Stream.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Mike and Lee, who I essentially grew up with during our time at Trammell Crow in the 80’s, have been pivotal figures in my career journey. They called me on a Tuesday afternoon in 2009; two days later, I found myself joining them at Stream and never looked back. Their passion for commercial real estate remains as vibrant as ever, and I am proud to have them as my mentors still to this day.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

Growing from local to national, going toe to toe with the big boys, and winning!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Spending time with my family and our grandchildren at our lake house on Lake Granbury.

Gemma Davis, Senior Recruiter, Atlanta, 5 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

It’s hard to pick out any individual accomplishment as so much of what we do in the recruiting world is collaborating with leaders to find and hire great talent. However, I would say that watching people whom I’ve hired as analysts grow in their careers has been really rewarding and fulfilling, knowing that I’ve been able to have a positive impact on their lives, all while helping Stream find great people.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Molly Robottom. She’s not only been an amazing boss and leader for the last five years but also became a great friend and role model!

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

When I joined Stream in April 2019, we had 750 employees and 12 offices. Though we’ve nearly doubled in size since then and added new offices and service lines, we’ve been able to keep the same gritty, entrepreneurial, and dynamic culture that attracted me to Stream in the first place, all while adding much-needed resources to help us continue to support these growing teams.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I only started about two years ago, so it’s a bit of a newer hobby, but I’m a long-distance runner and am beginning my training block for the 2024 Chicago Marathon in a couple of months!

Ahmed Ali, Accounting Manager, 5 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

My proudest individual accomplishment at Stream has been developing my immediate team to be the top contributors for the controllerships team.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Michele Chen has had the biggest impact. Her charisma, attitude, and work ethic have played a critical role in shaping and developing not just myself but our entire team. Her leadership is bar none and is one of Stream’s strongest assets.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

Since joining Stream, I’ve noticed some positive changes in our culture. While COVID-19 prompted adjustments, like reduced in-person interactions, it also spurred innovation and resilience within our team. Despite challenges, we’ve found creative ways to stay connected and maintain our bonds, fostering a stronger sense of unity. Overall, Stream has evolved dynamically, adapting to external circumstances while nurturing a resilient and cohesive team spirit.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy playing sports like basketball, soccer, and football.

Angela Hatcher, Assistant Property Manager, Dallas, 10 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

I’ve been so lucky to be a part of so many great teams, so it’s difficult to reference something individually, but I’m most proud of being a part of so many successful onboarding and sale transitions. It’s been great to work with so many teams while new properties are brought on or handed off to various owners.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

I’ve had the privilege of working with several talented property managers, but I wouldn’t be as successful as I am today without Lisa Spampinato, who I had the pleasure of working with for the majority of my time with Stream.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

It has grown so much. It’s been great to watch the company continue to evolve and expand into so many markets.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy spending my free time with family and traveling with friends.

Ladonna Montgomery, Technology Project Manager, Dallas, 15 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

I work with a team of talented IT professionals, and we have accomplished many things throughout the years. For example, the timing of rolling out Teams/SharePoint/One Drive before COVID-19 hit was a beneficial tool that allowed people working remotely to be more productive.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

It is hard to list just one person. Working with so many different talented people has helped me to grow along with Stream.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

It’s been truly an honor to witness such progress in the past 15 years—from a small team of 200 employees and four IT members to a thriving organization with more than 1,400 employees and more than 20 IT members.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Spending time with family, friends, and fur babies.

Preston Young, National head, Investor Services, Houston, 20 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

My most fulfilling achievement at Stream has been guiding numerous individuals to optimize their potential and advance their careers. Witnessing young analysts, associates, and property management professionals evolve into industry superstars and exceptional family members has been incredibly rewarding.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Without a doubt, Kyle Valentine. You couldn’t ask for a better partner than him. There are a million attributes you could use to describe him, but he is the most dependable and humble person I have ever met. No one runs faster to a difficult task. But what most people don’t know is he is probably one of our best business developers as well.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

We now have more than 30 people, and we no longer have our office above the Dallas training center for McDonald’s, which is nice.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Presently, I find myself as an accomplished Uber driver shuttling my four kids around to sporting events and academic endeavors. When I get a break from that, you will most likely find me somewhere outdoors.

March 2024

Cannon Green, National Head, Industrial Development Services, Dallas, 15 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far, and why?

Two of my proudest accomplishments have been becoming a Top Producer of Stream and founding our industrial development vertical.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

My DFW partners. We push each other, care about each other, and support each other’s individual efforts wholeheartedly.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

We are much bigger in terms of people, but our culture continues to thrive, which is not an easy feat.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy spending time with my family in Colorado and our Texas ranch and shooting competitive sporting clays.

David Edmond, Building Operations Supervisor, San Antonio, 5 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

I am always eager to find ways to cut costs. When I am given a project and am able to complete it within the projected cost, I count it as an accomplishment.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

It is so difficult to choose. All my leadership has had a huge impact. If I had to pick one, I would choose Nate Simpson. His guidance on professional and personal matters is invaluable. I know that I can always go to him and get sound advice.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

From previous companies I have worked for, Steam has prioritized the importance of being a TEAM player.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy woodworking, gardening, and spending time with my family.

Lena Thomas, Vice President, DFW, 5 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

It’s hard to reference an individual accomplishment since everything I do is with a team! I’m proud of how I’ve helped to grow the national business and portfolios of our clients. I value those relationships and experience, and it is a prioritized goal of mine to continue growing the National Occupier Services platform, both with existing clients and new ones.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Ryan Boozer of course! Ryan is my partner, mentor, leader, and life coach. Ryan’s training, guidance, and faith in me have had an invaluable impact on my time at Stream. He leads by example, and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work alongside him every day.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

Stream has changed in several ways over the last five years. We have grown both in infrastructure and presence in the DFW market but most notably in our people. I am continuously impressed by the talent and caliber of people joining our team every year, and it makes me excited for the years to come!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, Texas country concerts, and cooking for my friends and family! I’m also extremely competitive, so I’m always game for a round of pickleball or sand volleyball!

February 2024

Laura Gustine, Property Manager, Houston, 10 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

Becoming a Property Manager was a big accomplishment while here at Stream. I started at Stream as a Property Administrator and right out of college. So, I have learned a lot over the years.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

From day one Dawn Sartell has been by my side. She has been my cheerleader, mentor, and good friend. I would not be here today without the help from her. Especially in those first few years!

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

Stream has changed a lot in the last 10 years. When I first started, we had quarterly luncheons that took place at restaurants or the junior league. Now we have too many people to do that and host at Stream HQ in the large meeting room.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Being with family. I have a 3 year old who keeps me on my toes 24/7.

Kyle Valentine, Executive Managing Director & Partner, Houston, 20 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

Launching a new market for Stream in Houston in 2006.  We were confident that we would be successful but seeing what it has grown into is something that we are all very proud of.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

It all starts with Mike, Lee & Chris.  They’ve always been believers in me and constantly challenge me to keep growing!  That being said, these last 18 years with Preston, Justin, and Matteson here in Houston have been pretty special.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

When I joined Stream, Mike & Lee would strategically interview you away from their office on the John Carpenter Freeway so that you wouldn’t know what you were really getting into!  Watching a band of aspirational entrepreneurs grow from a few dozen making waves in Dallas to one of the most respected CRE firms in the country has been incredible to participate in.   More importantly, we are no longer confused with Extreme Reality or Stream Energy.  But one thing that hasn’t changed is our culture which I believe will be the biggest driver of our growth moving forward.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

My free time is almost exclusively spent on a soccer field, football field, track or golf course watching my kids play sports.

Steven M Sumerfelt, Chief Pilot, Dallas, 15 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

Upgrading the company plane was a high point. Along with that, and probably more importantly, we recently added an advanced first aid kit with AED and a satellite phone for direct access to emergency room doctors.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

I try to learn from everyone I work with, but Mike McVean has had the biggest influence on my time with Stream.  Mike’s position in the company, combined with his aviation knowledge, has given me an excellent source to run ideas by or talk through a scenario. It’s rare to find a senior company executive who takes his flying as seriously as he does.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

The growth at Stream since I started my career here has been incredible!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

My wife and I enjoy hiking and exploring new places. I also like to hunt and target shoot.

Victor Saldana, Building Technician II, Austin, 15 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

When I started working with Stream, I didn’t have much experience in building maintenance. I only oversaw five small buildings at that time. After a short period, I was moved to the industrial portfolio with Darrell Peay, the shift engineer, with a total of 36 buildings. Over the years and the company’s growth, we were able to inspect and maintain 96 buildings. So far, I’m most proud to become a Building Engineer Tech II with more experience and knowledge than when I started. Now, I feel confident handling all types of circumstances and resolving all kinds of problems, but speaking honestly, I consider it just the start of my journey in this great company.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Darrell Peay has had the biggest impact on me. I owe him most of the maintenance knowledge I have acquired. He always has the time and the availability to teach me something new every time I work with him.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

When I started 15 years ago, Stream Austin was just a small company. Now, it’s the largest property management firm in Austin, managing over 17 million square feet.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love to spend quality time with my family. I also enjoy fishing and traveling to different countries and learning about their culture, history, and gastronomy.

Joseph Wolf, Accounting Manager, Dallas, 5 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

I was able to bring my years of experience in property accounting to Stream and use my knowledge to work on some challenging properties. Stream saw my high-quality work and positive attitude and felt I would be an asset as a leader within the accounting department. I’ve since been promoted to Accounting Manager, leading a strong, effective team.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

During my time with Stream, two people, Edward Starr and Dov Clayton, have provided excellent examples of how to be a strong leader. They have shown by example that a leader who supports and encourages their team will result in a more positive workplace. I have taken these examples along with my personal experiences to try and lead my team in the way I would want to be treated.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

The largest change in the last five years for almost every company was the impact of COVID-19 and the change in what the “workplace” environment can be. In the accounting department, there was a change to remote working for most of the department. The initial challenge was learning how to adjust our interpersonal communications as we were no longer across from each other in cubicles. It was serendipitous that Stream had adopted using Teams before COVID-19, so the department had the tools in place ready for this sudden, unexpected change in the workplace. Accounting has been very successful in this transition.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

As a father of four children in the late elementary and middle school years, I spend a lot of time as a driver for all their extracurricular activities. I used to enjoy playing sports, but now I either watch from the stands or coach the soccer team. As a child of the early 80s, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and playing video games, which I’ve shared with my kids.

January 2024

Ryan Boozer, Managing Director & Partner, Dallas, 10 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far, and why?

Several transactions come to mind, but the biggest accomplishment is helping multiple partners increase the team’s revenue. I have found that it is more rewarding watching younger people succeed at a high level.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

That is a challenge between a few people. The friendly competition between Blake Kendrick, Cannon Green and Seth Koschak has been an amazing “iron sharpens iron” experience. Watching high-functioning people and trying to implicate those practices into my own life has been critical to my growth.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

One word – GROWTH. The company’s growth over the last few years has been phenomenal, and we expect that to compound in the future.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

When I am not at the office, I enjoy hunting and spending time with my family!

Mark Conn, Building Operations Manager, Dallas, 5 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

My proudest accomplishment has been bringing the team together at One Main. It is never about me but we. We have made great strides here, turning this property around and getting it to operate as it should. We still have more to do, but I am confident the team here will make it happen.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Juan Lopez. Whether you’re dealing with a major disaster or have a simple question, you get the same sound and thoughtful advice in a calming way.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

Since I joined Stream, we have moved into many new markets, and the company has grown tremendously.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and saltwater fishing in my free time. It is a true blessing when I can put the two together.

Andrew Katzfey, Senior Associate, San Antonio, 5 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

It is difficult for me to pick a proudest accomplishment since I’ve worked on so many cool projects during my tenure with Stream. I’d have to say executing a full building lease at Two Winnco Center in late 2023 would be one of my prouder moments. It was a challenging project that had been vacant for years prior to Stream taking the listing. We were able to get the property leased to a great tenant and on a term deal after some lengthy and challenging negotiations. It was an excellent win for Stream and our newest client.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

I’d say my teammates have been my biggest impact. I had the opportunity to join a team of great people who helped me build my business and learn the market. From there, I have really enjoyed winning assignments and executing business plans with all my colleagues. In my opinion, it is the best aspect of being a part of the Stream team.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

Stream has grown tremendously since I joined in 2019. We have added some great talent throughout brokerage, property management and CM, and it has been a great process to be a part of. I appreciate that with all the growth, we have maintained a small office culture and team atmosphere.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy playing basketball (when my body permits it!) and working out during the week. On weekends, I enjoy helping out on our family ranch in South Texas by guiding dove hunts.

Cullen Donohue, Senior Associate, Fort Worth, 5 years

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Tyler Maner and Seth Koschak have both had a substantial impact on me, personally and professionally, since joining Stream. Both Tyler and Seth have tremendous integrity and a tenacious drive. Although I may never have Tyler’s gift of gab or Seth’s stoic nature, they both set a great example and are tremendous leaders at Stream.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

The national growth of our platform across the country. The number of team members we have added across DFW and throughout the country in the past five years is incredible.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, golfing, hunting, fishing and generally being outdoors.

Michael Pistorius, Chief Engineer, Dallas, 5 years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

My proudest accomplishment has been the demolition, remodeling, and building of The Quad in Dallas. This project made the last three years go by so fast – time flies when you’re having fun!

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Lisa Hoffman has impacted me most during my time at Stream. She has taught me many lessons, but most importantly, she has shown me how to raise my standards.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

Since joining Stream, communication across the company has improved significantly, allowing us to work seamlessly nationwide.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

When I am not at work, I enjoy playing darts!

Tyler Wellborn, Senior Director, Houston, 5 Years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

My proudest accomplishment is a team accomplishment, and that is Empire West. It was a massive deal with many moving parts involving construction, infrastructure and entitlements that I heavily influenced but with the help of everyone who participated in that deal.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Kyle Valentine, Justin Robinson, Matteson Hamilton and Preston Young. They have really validated and led by example in doing business the right way and with the Stream Core Values. Nice. Smart. Honest. Passionate.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

We continue to grow, and with that comes new opportunities and the need to evolve and adapt to be competitive, which I think is a lot of fun.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I have two kids, so outside of work, I enjoy spending time with them and my wife.

December 2023

Chris Jackson, President & CEO, Dallas, 20 Years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

I am most proud of being on the team that helped build Stream’s DFW office into what it is today. The quality of the people, the creativity, the culture and the size are impressive.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Our two founders, Mike McVean and Lee Belland. They’ve been my friends, partners and mentors over the past 20 years. Their leadership, support and never losing sight of their vision for Stream, through good times and challenging times, stand out. Their willingness to empower us as leaders and to make mistakes along the way (a lot of mistakes) and for putting us all in partnership together in a way that most founders aren’t willing to do.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

Well, we’re a lot bigger! We maybe We maybe had 40 people when I joined Stream. Now we’re close to 1,400. It’s not as hard to get a meeting as it used to be. I remember traveling the country with Kyle Valentine and Preston Young in the early years and having to explain to people who Stream was and what we did. That’s no longer the case.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love traveling with my family, spending time in Colorado, and fishing and hunting with my son, buddies, and friends from Stream. I used to like golf, but you get worse as you get older, so I don’t like it anymore.

Corinna Bozeman, Property Manager, Houston, 15 Years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

I would have to say it’s my longevity. I am proud to be a part of Stream for as long as I have and I honor it with my loyalty and commitment through all the changes, all the good times, and the challenges that I have experienced throughout the years.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Phoebe Gregg because she is the one who has shown me, by example, how to be a good manager, she supports my growth, encourages my learning and was the advocate for my promotions.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

When I started at Stream, women’s roles in leadership were still developing in property management. Now, many of the property managers are women.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love to dance, and I read as much as I can. I also enjoy spending time in nature, listening to music and cooking good food for my family.

Chris Miller, Director of Corporate Security, Regional, 5 Years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

There have been a few, but one that comes to mind is the Pandemic Plan I wrote for SDC that was widely used during COVID. I started it very early because I went through the H1N1 pandemic in 2009 and saw how quickly it spun out of control without all the social media tools available now. We had our plan in place long before our competitors, and I was asked to speak at industry professional sessions regarding plan deployment and management.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

My staff has had the most significant impact on me because without them doing their jobs accurately and professionally, I could not do mine. Additionally, I’ve been associated with SDC for nine years (four as a consultant and five as an employee). During that time, I’ve had four managers. My current manager has allowed me the freedom to do my job effectively, resulting in a more refined service delivery for my organization.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

Since I arrived at Stream, the company has grown significantly, allowing us to provide services to companies of all scales while maintaining our robust level of service.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy weightlifting, self-defense and hunting, but most of my enjoyment comes from being a Pop Pop for three wonderful grandkids. But I am getting them interested in weightlifting, self-defense, and hunting, so it’s a win/win. 😊

Mike Short, Regional Director of Building Operations, Houston, 10 Years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

Being promoted to Regional Director of Operations for Houston enables me to serve our talented team and help grow our future leaders.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

I don’t think I can name just one individual. Everyone that I’ve worked with has impacted my life one way or another. Laura Harvey, the Houston partners, Mike Burnett, and the engineering and property management staff have all blessed me with more than I deserve.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

Stream has grown so much. I see it in all the new procedures and infrastructure that have been implemented.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy spending time with my family and going to concerts with my wife.

Ee Lim, Property Accountant, Remote, 5 Years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

My proudest accomplishment would be graduating from college with a bachelor’s degree because it helped me pursue my dreams in the career path that I wanted which was accounting.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

My previous supervisor Angela Thomas had the biggest impact on my life. When I first started at Stream five years ago, I had no experience and no college education. She took a chance on me and changed my life. It was because of her I decided to go back to school to finish my degree. She motivated me as well as pushed me to finish college so I would be able to move up in my career. She was also very supportive of my decision to leave her team to transfer to project accounting. Although she is no longer with Stream, I would not be where I am without her guiding me.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

In Project Accounting, the biggest change I have seen Stream make was going remote. After COVID, the company department decided to remain remote.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family as well as reading.

Nicolas Simon, Accounting Manager, DFW, 5 Years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

In general, I have a sense of gratitude for my role as a leader and for having the opportunity to train new accountants who join our company. Being that resource and mentor for new team members provides that accomplished feeling when you see these individuals grow into their roles and get nominations and accolades from other departments and clients for a job well done.

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Without a doubt, that person is Samita Ghale. She has been my leader since I first joined Stream. Thanks to her leadership style and accounting knowledge, she has shown me how to become a better accountant and leader myself. She is always available to answer my questions and prepares me for various scenarios within our department. I’m grateful for all the guidance Samita provides.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

Stream has grown and diversified so much since I came on board. Our department seems like it has nearly doubled in size. We’ve almost gone completely paperless. We have hybrid and remote work opportunities. Stream has also proven that even a global pandemic couldn’t slow it down.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy spending it with family, friends and my beautiful Great Dane, Olive. I play in a few rec sports leagues like kickball and dodgeball. I also enjoy traveling. My husband and I are usually on a cruise ship somewhere around the world.

November 2023

Eric Crutchfield, Senior Vice President, Dallas, 1o years

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Something that was told to me and has stuck with me for many years is: Nothing can make up for the number of hours you work and/or how hard you work. Hard work never ends for the successful.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I incredibly enjoy traveling with my family the most. Secondly (although a bit frustrating because I’m not that good), I enjoy playing golf.

Spending time with my family and going to sporting events. Races with my six-year-old. And weightlifting.

September 2023

Stream has grown tremendously since I started 10 years ago. The accounting department had around 40 people when I started and is now well over 100.

Jeff Pruitt, Building Operations Manager, Dallas, 10 Years

During your tenure at Stream, who has had the biggest impact on you and why?

Getting promoted to Building Operations Manager. I didn’t see myself in this role or getting the opportunity.

My amazing wife, Christi, and I have two girls: McKinley, 18, and Payton, 16. So I enjoy my time with them. On my own, I love bow hunting and playing hockey on my beer league team.

How has Stream changed since you arrived here?

We’ve grown and have added a lot more resources to help more people make money.

Adam Jackson, Chief Investment Officer, Dallas, 15 Years

What has been your proudest individual accomplishment at Stream so far and why?

One of the most exciting things that I played a role in accomplishing was the first investment that I made at Stream (and in my career) in 2011. It was an office building that we purchased in Houston that later sold for a large profit. The success of the investment was fun, but the best part was believing enough in ourselves to move forward at a very uncertain time and achieving returns that were greater than any of us expected.

What are you looking forward to in the next 5 years at Stream?

We have made tremendous strides over the last five years to grow the company while continuing to maintain our culture. I’m most excited about watching what all our great people are able to accomplish. I expect this to be an exciting period for Stream, as we mobilize across the country in a prepared and systematic way that more effectively accomplishes our clients’ goals.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

What are you looking forward to in the next 5 years at Stream?

Guiding clients through very turbulent times in the office environment, then seeing them create wealth when we come out the other side.

It’s not the most lucrative accomplishment, but winning the leasing assignment for The Pines, purchased by Nuveen, felt good. We spent several months strategically trying to expand our business with Nuveen, and when we were awarded The Pines, they offered the leasing assignment to Stream without pitching. It was the first time, for me, a strategic pursuit of that nature was rewarded.
